Streaming games on your phone is now becoming more popular than ever especially with Razer’s Kishi. Google Stadia and Microsoft’s Project xCloud allow you to ditch your console to play the games you love. But you will need a reliable internet connection and a handy gamepad to start your mobile gaming journey.
Check out how the Razer gamepad fills your mobile gaming needs below.
The Razer Kishi is a telescopic gamepad for iOS and Android. To use it, just plug the gamepad to your phone through USB-C or Lightning cables. Lag or connection issues are a thing of the past since you don’t connect via Bluetooth. Moreover, charge your phone while gaming by slipping your cord into the Kishi’s pass-through port.

You’ll feel, though, that the gamepad is heavy. At 10.5 inches by 3.5 inches by 1.6 inches, the Kishi is even thicker than the Nintendo Switch. While playing, the buttons and thumbsticks are responsive, without any dead zones. Your hands might feel a little cramped after playing for a few hours straight, though.
The good news is that you can play most games with the Kishi gamepad. You can play most mobile game ports and games on streaming. Gizmodo says that you can “play most console games made before 2000 or after 2013.” You can even stream games like Red Dead Redemption 2 from your Xbox One or PS4 at home.
You will have to shell out $80 for the Kishi, though. It’s more expensive than the other gamepads available. But then, a sturdy and reliable gamepad might be worth the extra charge.

Are you a hardcore mobile gamer? The new ASUS ROG Phone 3 might be the smartphone for you. With great specs and fantastic battery life, you can play games on the go without powering off.
The new ROG Phone 3 caters to gamers. Your mobile games won’t look as slick and pretty as they do on Phone 3’s 6.59-inch AMOLED screen. The phone itself weighs 0.53 lbs, which means you’ll have to get used to carrying it around. Gizmodo says the ROG Phone 3 is “one of the heaviest phones” you can buy.
Your new ASUS phone isn’t just massive; it’s also fast and powerful. ASUS’s latest Snapdragon 865 + 5G processor helps the phone run games smoother than before. With the new chip, your ROG gets “10% better graphics and performance” than your usual 865 processor.
With a touch latency of only 25 ms, launching apps feels instant, too. The Phone 3’s touch screen also boasts a refresh rate of 144Hz.
With RGB lighting, fancying cooling, and a huge display, the Asus ROG Phone 3 is a delightful affront to phone design https://t.co/MRkDoB3254 pic.twitter.com/kKbNCENPp1

Gizmodo also assures gamers that you can hear your mobile games on the ROG Phone 3. It has real stereo speakers mounted on the front of the device, instead of on the bottom, like other phones. You can also charge and play while on landscape mode. ASUS has put two USB-C ports on the phone. There’s the standard port on the bottom, and there’s another one on the side.
Better yet, the Phone 3 has a built-in 6,000 mAh battery. Play games nonstop with this massive powerpack.
ASUS said they might announce more information on Phone 3 by September.

Gamers who want to play virtual reality (VR) games with friends can now do so with Oculus’ new features. To promote playing together, Oculus launched the new Public Parties and Travel Together features. With these features, you can game with your friends while social distancing.
Engadget reports that the Public Parties feature lets gamers to join VR voice calls in a large group. A maximum of 8 players can join these calls. Also interesting is that these players don’t even have to be on your friends list. With Public Parties, players can chat with literally anybody. Who says you can’t make new friends in virtual reality?
In a blog post, Oculus said that Travel Together works to “allow groups to launch directly into social experiences.” With this feature, your group can jump straight into chats or calls without going through menus. You don’t even have to wait for friends to join you.
Oculus also said that you could control who can find you on Oculus through your Facebook name. You can set your privacy settings to “Facebook Friends on Oculus” to filter the list. Just tinker with these settings if you want no one to find you, or if you want other people to look you up.
These new features don’t work for all games and apps on Oculus, but there are already several supported games you can try.
