Yarmis has been a leading voice in the technology industry for over 25 years, with a variety of experience in industry analysis, end-user computing, and public and analyst relations. He joins AMR Research from Hill & Knowlton, where he was the senior vice president of analyst relations. At Hill & Knowlton, he was responsible for providing strategic positioning and messaging support to clients such as HP, Yahoo, Motorola, Business Objects, QUALCOMM, Symantec, CA, Verisign, and Deloitte Consulting.
Prior to Hill & Knowlton, he worked as a vice president of enterprise strategies at Waggener Edstrom Strategic Communications, where he provided senior analyst relations counsel to clients including Microsoft, AMD, Vignette and MasterCard. Yarmis has also held various senior level positions at media and research companies including Gartner, Inc., where he spent 10 years as an industry analyst.
He holds a BA from Hamilton College.
